I'm a freelance web developer and have to use many tools to make my work easy. I use these tools to save time and make it more productive. Now, I like to share them with you to make your work easier.

  1. Atom
source-my Linux

Atom is one of web development's best IDE (code editor). It has the best UI and great features that help your code be more accurate. Atom is a free and open-source text and source code editor. You can use it on macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows with support for plug-ins written in JavaScript and embedded Git Control. GitHub develops atom and is a desktop application built using web technologies.

2. Google

Yeah! Google is mainly used to help with your queries. Whenever you are stuck on a problem, Google it and it will give you your answers. There's no shame in googling something you don't know because you can't remember everything. Every developer uses Google to find their answers.

3. Github

GitHub is the code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. It lets you and others work together on projects from anywhere. It is an open-source platform where 83 million developers contribute to each other's projects. You can post your project's Code here so another developer can access your Code and help you to complete your work by contributing to your project. GitHub is free to access.

4. Figma

Figma is used by lots of developers to design their websites and apps. I also use Figma to create my web (Front-End). Here you can also share your project with your teammates, which will help you design your web or app. Figma application is available for macOS and Windows. You can create high-quality designs here. It has been sold to Adobe (Plans still need to update).

5. Discord

Developers use Discord like any other online communication channel like Instagram and Github to facilitate discussion and community building. But what makes Discord unique is its social aspect: you can join multiple communities and converse about almost anything. You can create your own Discord channel as a developer. As a developer, I post some helpful tips regarding web development here and join another track to boost my creativity, learning, and skills.

6. TechCrunch

TechCrunch is an online news platform about startups, technology, venture capital funding, and Silicon Valley.

7. VS Code

You can also use VS Code IDE to edit your Code. VS Code also has the best UI and many tools, which will help reduce your efforts as a developer. Microsoft develops it with Electron Framework for macOS, Windows and Linux. VS Code's Features include support for debugging, syntax highlighting, intelligent code completion, snippets, code refactoring, and embedded Git.

As a freelance web developer, using the right tools increases productivity and saves time. Some of the best tools for web development include Atom, a free and open-source IDE for code editing, and Google for quick problem-solving and research.

GitHub for version control and collaboration. Figma for designing websites and apps, Discord for community building and sharing knowledge, and TechCrunch for staying up-to-date with the latest tech news.

VS Code is another popular tool that offers a great UI and a range of features to make the coding process more accessible. As technology and web development evolve, staying up-to-date with the latest tools and platforms to enhance your work as a web developer is essential.

These tools allow web developers to streamline their work and collaborate effectively with other developers.
